We were delighted to open the Asthma and Allergy Support Centre on 16th June 2017. We had a beautiful sunny day for the cutting of the ribbon by Maureen Watt, MSP.
A crowd gathered for the official opening by Maureen and TV media captured the proud moment. We were grateful for representation from key bodies such as that provided by MSP Lewis McDonald.
Former Lord Provost of Aberdeen George Adam was also in attendance.
It was a great opportunity for the Foundation to invite guests, sponsors and supporters to see the facility beginning its journey as a key resource as it seeks to reduce the impact of Asthma and Allergies in the north-east of Scotland.
After the official opening outside we had a gathering of guests for some visionary presentations giving the opportunity to see the work that the Support Centre will enable. After the presentations guests enjoyed some food and drink to toast future success.
It was fantastic to see people from a diverse background share this important day in the Foundation’s history. Hopefully the charity can build on the support shown on this opening day and continue to combine talents to promote healthy lives in Scotland.
The day was a good example of success enabled by dedicated team work.
